Prior
to her consulting career, Elizabeth held a number of healthcare
executive positions of increasing management experience in the
medical rehabilitation field. She served in the capacity of
Vice President/Administrator of a 150 bed subacute rehabilitation
facility (long-term care) for an integrated acute care and specialty
care system.
Experience
in management includes day to day operations, redesign of procedures
to facilitate patient focused care, and development of policies
and procedures to meet the regulatory guidelines of the Balanced
Budget Act of 1997 as it relates to subacute care. Elizabeth
provided leadership in the design of a brain injury continuum
of care that included acute rehabilitation, day hospital, short-term
transitional care, and long-term residential community living.
Elizabeth
is a registered nurse (Hartford Hospital School of Nursing)
who holds a BS in Business Administration (Eastern College)
and a MBA with a major in Health and Medical Services Administration
(Widener University).
In
addition, Elizabeth is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator
and has twelve years experience as a CARF surveyor.
